A speculative scenario looking at suicide, social structure and ritual through placebo roleplay. The film was shot in South Korea to highlight recent local issues (They have the highest suicide rate among OECD countries). The film is a collaboration between actors, musicians and choreographers to create a theatrical ritual not confined to traditional forms, and to critique how many of today’s rituals are tools to enforce control and maintain the status quo.

Since having my own mental well-being tested, I gained an interest in the human psyche and how society and social conditioning interacts with our personal experience, the social stigmas attached to suicide, the individual impact and the impact on the surrounding people affected.
